Salinger ~ A New Biography

If you haven't heard, there's a new biography out on J.D. Salinger, my generation's anti-anti-hero and author of an ultimate-coming-of-age book, Catcher in the Rye.  J.D. Salinger is reported to have deeply regretted publishing it, yet still spent the money the sales of 65 million copies generated.

According to a review in The Economist, this biography is, "Full of color and intrigue, “Salinger” can be gripping. It is also exactly the kind of messy, unsubtle, intrusive and speculative work the man himself understandably shunned."
